PatGen is a simple hatch pattern generator which allows the creation of new patterns without any knowledge about the description language used in AutoCAD PAT files.

The user selects a set of AutoCAD entities, draws the U and V unit vectors that define the pattern iteration and finally names the new pattern.

PatGen 1.2 new features :

  • Non-rectangular pattern units, defined by two vectors U and V (see example).
  • Controlled tolerance and resolution values.
  • Simplified dialog box.

Aligner is an ARX extension which allows to align and distribute AutoCAD objects along X and Y directions. The applications includes 14 new commands available in a toolbar. They are similar to the arrangement functions you can find in software like Adobe Illustrator, VectorWorks or Microsoft Office drawing module.

HideObj toolbar
HideObj is an application which allows the user to change the objects' visibility independently of their layers. The program comes with five commands, grouped in a new toolbar which is automatically loaded at application startup.

3DBurst is an ARX application which allows the user  to quickly create exploded views of 3D models. This command is especially useful in Mechanical design to visualize an engine's inside or in architectural design to separate a building into floors.

Two parameters are required by this command :

  • The reference element which can be either a plan, an axis or a center point.
  • The burst factor which defines the displacement vector for each object.

AcadVrml

AcadVrml is an ARX application which exports Autocad surfaces to VRML 1.1 format. It supports 3D faces, PolygonMeshes and PolyFaceMeshes. PolygonMeshes include ruled surfaces, revolved surfaces, extruded surfaces, edge surfaces and all 3D objects like dome, dish, wedge, etc. 3D solids can also be converted if they are first transformed to surfaces using 3DSOUT-3DSIN commands.

AutoSimp

AutoSimp is a surface simplification program based on space subdivision and vertex merging. It can be applied to all kinds of AutoCAD surfaces : 3D faces, polygon meshes and polyface meshes. It allows high decimation rates within quite short processing times.
