3D Burst
Features
3DBurst is an ARX application which allows the user to quickly create exploded views of 3D models. This command is especially useful in Mechanical design to visualize an engine's inside or in architectural design to separate a building into floors.
After loading burst.arx file, you can run the 3DBURST command :
Command : 3DBURST
Select objects :
Plan / Axis / Center <Center> : P
First point of plan :
Second point of plan :
Third point of plan :
Burst factor (0 - 10) <2> : 1.5
Two options are required by this command :
- The reference element which can be a plan, an axis or a center point. Each selected object is moved along a vector so that the distance from its center of mass to the reference point (axis, or plan) is multiplied by the burst factor. All the objects which lay on the reference element are not modified by the command. The axis (resp. plan) can be either defined by two (resp. three) points or match one of the coordinate axes (resp. plans).
- The burst factor which indicates the displacement value. The command has no effect if this factor equals 1. Otherwise, the objects are moved towards the reference element if the value is between 0 and 1 and away from for a value greater than 1. For instance, a value of 2 makes the object 2 times farther from the point (axis or plan).
